Main Coaching Tip
Extra weight often increases risk without improving the result.
60-Second Coaching Tips
Use no more weight than the shot requires.

Higher weight can reduce margin for error, disturb your own structure, and create bigger downside on a miss. In many situations, controlled weight achieves the same tactical purpose with fewer risks. Choosing minimum effective weight supports consistency and better long-term decision quality.
Before delivery, define the exact job of the bowl. Then ask: what is the least force needed to do that job? Deliver at that speed and review outcome. If the goal was achieved, resist adding extra power next time just because the line looked available.
