Weight Changes Mechanics
More speed can alter line unless rhythm and release stay controlled.
Common Problems
Adding weight often changes more than speed. It can also change line, timing, balance and release.

Weighted bowls drift narrow compared with your draw bowls.
Minimum Effective Weight: use no more weight than is necessary to achieve the purpose of the shot.
If adding weight consistently changes your line and you are unsure whether the cause is mechanical, tactical or confidence-related.
Advice: Make one evidence-based change at a time. If you are unsure what is causing the problem, observe several bowls before altering your technique.
