60-Second Coaching Tips

Watch the Bowl Finish

Your previous bowl is valuable information.

Player observing where a bowl finishes before the next delivery

Main Coaching Tip

Use the actual finish to guide the next decision, not just how the shot felt.

Why It Matters

Feel can be misleading, especially under pressure. The bowl finish gives objective feedback about line, length and likely correction size. Players who observe results clearly tend to make smaller, better adjustments and avoid reactive swings in decision-making.

Try This on the Rink

After each delivery, track where the bowl stopped relative to your target and previous bowls. Then decide whether line, length, or both need attention. Keep changes small and specific. Over a short sequence, this creates a clearer pattern and better tactical confidence.
