Main Coaching Tip
Do not confuse looking close with being useful. Depth matters.
60-Second Coaching Tips
A bowl that repeatedly finishes short often contributes very little to the head.

A short bowl can leave the head unchanged and give the opponent freedom to build pressure. Reaching useful depth creates options even when you miss perfect line. It can count, protect, trail, or become back support. Players who improve depth control often improve tactics at the same time.
Set one clear depth intention before delivery. After each bowl, compare actual finish with the intended depth, not with feel alone. Make small evidence-based corrections and avoid changing multiple technical elements together. Track whether your next three bowls get closer to useful depth.
