Play the Scoreboard as Well as the Head
The same head may require a different decision depending on score and stage of the match.
Why It Matters
A shot that is sensible at 4-4 in early ends may be wrong when leading by one on the last end. Scoreboard context affects risk tolerance and tactical purpose. Players who include match state in their choices avoid unnecessary hero shots and protect key leads more effectively.
Try This on the Rink
Before each bowl, state both the head position and match state: what is the score, what end is it, and what outcome matters most now? Then select tactic and shot. This keeps choices proportionate to risk and reward in real competition.
